Due to the many life changes that have come with the Covid pandemic, I have had to make the decision to suspend my private lessons and programs at this time. I invite you to have a look at my blog and uploaded sections of my book for more information and inspiration on your singing journey. I will post here when I open up my business for lessons again. Until then, sing free!
Sometimes they tell me they got negative feedback about their singing voice when they were younger, and lost their confidence...
Or, that they they never really sang that much growing up, and now they are older they are not sure if they are able to learn...
Or, they used to sing, but due to aging, a medical condition, or lack of practice their voice just isn't what it used to be.
Have you had singing on your bucket list for what feels like forever, but are
not sure where to start?
Let me help.
I have designed lessons and programs specifically for people who are new to singing.
Step-by- step we go through the foundations of singing so you understand how your voice works, and gain the control, flexibility, and freedom of sound you have always wanted.
Together we do this by focusing on 3 areas.
- The Body -Your breathing, posture, body tension, and of course how you use your vocal cords and the muscles of your face and mouth all impact the way you sing. As you learn about and practice new ways to use your body while singing, your voice will become freer, and singing will feel more natural.
- The Mind - Over the years we have learned a lot of science about how to make your voice sound as good as possible. When you know it too, a whole new world of singing can open up for you.
- The Emotion - How you "feel" plays a critical element in singing. The path to a free and confident singing voice often involves an awareness and exploration of "what comes up emotionally" when one sings.
Here are your options...
Private Lessons
One-on-one lessons are taught in Sharon's home studio in Qualicum Beach. We work at a pace that is comfortable to you; and because each lesson is personalized we will focus on exactly what you need to get the most improvement from your voice.
Home practice helps a lot, so ongoing students have full access to practice tracks and additional information to help them with their learning.
