Music Enrichment and Therapeutic Singing Programs
Programs that teach, inspire, grow, connect, and heal.
Esteem Vocals has a wide array of custom and pre-designed programs.
Recreational/Leisure Programming.
We strive to create music and singing programs that are meaningful, enjoyable, and satisfying. Our leisure-based choirs, workshops, sing-alongs, showcases, and concerts are designed to offer participants an inclusive and flexible environment where they are free to experience music and singing in a way that feels safe and empowering.
Educative Programming
At Esteem Vocals we offer a variety of opportunities for people to improve their knowledge, experience, and skill with singing and music-making. We offer individual and small group vocal lessons, workshops, and ongoing programs ranging from beginner to more advanced content.
Empowerment and Personal-Growth Based Programming and Coaching.
Music and singing provide many opportunities for people to understand more about themselves and the world around them. Participants, students, or clients use music and singing as a means to explore deeper concepts such as self-awareness, self-expression, authenticity, judgement, perfectionism, shame, comparison, kindness, empathy, self-identity, courage, and many other attributes of human life. Using music and singing as a tool people can also practice skills including boundary setting, creating meaningful connections, and increasing one's confidence.
Both empowerment-focused lessons and programs operate under humanistic principles recognizing that kind, supportive, honest, and empowering environments are ideal for growth and personal transformation. Alongside this, music and singing can allow one to experience or reinforce new ways of being, thinking, and acting using music-based cognitive and behavioral activities.

The SongShine Program was founded by Dr. Ruthanna Metzger, originally as a pilot study program at Eisenhower Medical Center in California, for the Traub Parkinson's Center. The program was such a success that it is now offered across the United States, and now in Canada!
